This drill emphasizes on communication in a playful manner.

  • Two teams –team “X” and team “O”
  • Create a tic-tac-toe board in the middle of the court.
  • E.g. Use adhesive tape
  • The first player from each team/line should dribble to a designated basket and attempt to score.
  • You can avoid dribbling or shooting or both – try a different task e.g. carry the ball, touching the wall.
  • If he/she scores, should pass the ball to the next player on their team/line.
  • Run to the board – claim a square/spot and put his/her arms in either an ‘X’ or an ‘O’.
  • If he/she misses to score, should pass the ball to the next player and join at the end of the line.
  • A point in rewarded when a team manages to complete an ‘X’ or ‘O’ line on the board.
  • If a line is achieved, they should continue to make another line after clearing the board.
  • The game finishes when 5 points are rewarded.
  • The number is a suggestion only
